New Jersey High School Public and Non Public Group Championships

 

The New Jersey public and non-public Group Championship was in full swing on Saturday morning after moving to one day instead of two. Due to the air quality in New Jersey from the wildfires in Canada the group championship went from a two day event to one day event. 

Junior Sophia Curtis from Ocean City high school ran the top time in the country, running a 1:00:42 in the Group 3 championships in the girls 400 meter hurdles. Kylie Jacoutot Senior from Colts Neck high school came in 2nd place running a US top 50 time in a 1:02:30. 

In the Boys Group 3 championship, senior Lathan Brown from Deptford high school ran US top 25 time at 52.72 in the the boys 400 meter hurdles. Junior Goran Saric from NV- Old Tappan high school got 2nd place running New Jersey top 10 time in 55.54. 

From the Non Public B championship, junior Raegan Bossard from Immaculate Conception high school set a personal record in the girls triple jump with 36-8.50. Bossard's jump was top 25 jump in New Jersey. 

The talented freshman Sianni Wynn from Pennsauken high school came back at it this weekend winning the girls group 4 championships in 100 meter dash. Wynn ran a 11.82 on Saturday advancing to the Meet of Champions Wednesday night. 

In the Group 1 Championship, sophomore Alex Bregman from Whippany Park high school won the boys discus throw group 1 throwing a 100-4. His senior teammate Noah Kaplan threw a 108-5 coming in 3rd place. 

From the Non Public A championship, senior Xaiver Donaldson from Seton Hall Prep won the boys 400 meter dash. Donaldson ran a NJ top 10 time in 48.43. 

Hasbrouck Heights high school won the girls Group 1 championship with 77.40 points and Woodbury high school won the boys Group 1 championship with 71 points. Elizabeth high school won the girls Group 4 championships with 59 points and Pennsauken high school won the boys group 4 championship with 66 points. 

In the Non public A championships, Union Catholic Reg. high school won the girls in great fashion with 195 points and Christian Brothers Academy won the boys in dominant fashion with 128 points. In the Non public B championships, The Wilberforce School won the girls with 83 points and St. Rose high school won the boys in a great performance with 122 points. 

From the Group 2 Championships, Willingboro high school won the girls 72 points and NV - Demarest high school won the boys with 63 points. Timber Creek Reg. high school won the Group 3 girls scoring 76 points and Deptford high school tied with Chatham high school for 1st place in the boys Group 3 championships. 

The Meet of Champions will be Wednesday evening at Franklin high school.
