West Essex Knights Boys Lacrosse Still Hopeful After 1-3 start

The West Essex Knights are currently 1-3 in the season. Top 10 player in the state, Anthony Drago recently collected his 200th career point during the second game of the 23-24 season. Drago is currently a junior who recently committed to Duke for lacrosse, but he also plays football for the Knights in the fall.

The future Blue Devil is currently ranked number 6 in the state as one of the best players. Drago plays midfield, but can show his ability to score goals as well as assist them. His stats at the moment are eight goals and four assists. Another great player for West Essex is senior Tyler Gann, the second-highest scorer with seven goals and four assists. Sophomore, Teddy Skopak has 42 saves with 41 goals against.

West Essex won their last game against Columbia 10-7, making their record 2-3. The 1st player of the game was Drago with a total of six goals. The second player of the game with three goals is Gabe O’Brien from Columbia.

Next for the Knights

West Essex's next game is today, April 15th at West Essex High School vs. their biggest opposition, James Caldwell High School, at 6:30 pm.
