Top-seeded Woodstown defeated fifth-seeded Penns Grove 34-14, in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 playoffs Friday night.
Woodstown senior quarterback Max Webb hit Junior Bobby Donahue in stride for a 27-yard touchdown with 8:38 seconds left in the first quarter. Bryce Belinfanti added six to the board on a two-yard run with 4:34 left in the second quarter. Garrett Leyman tacked on two defensive interceptions in the first half alone.

That first half stat line is telling. The prominent balanced attack the Wolverines have had this fall is not something you see every year in Woodstown. This is the fourth Woodstown team to make it to the sectional final in the school's history, according to head coach John Adams.
“I feel great man. We knew a rematch was going to be really tough. To come out here and put 34 points up on a really really tough defense, I thought our kids played really well. Our defense showed up and played lights out. I’m just super proud of these guys.”
