Hello readers and followers of Jersey Sporting News. I’m your newest writer and New York Giants content contributor . My name is Danny Behan and I will be bringing over my Giants content to JSN with our current New York Giants Lead Writer, Nikki Gist. Nikki and I have been partners and friends over the past year and the timing was right. I can’t wait to grow my relationship with the readers and grow our Giants content even more.
Do not hold against me that I’m not from Jersey. I like to think of myself as an honorary member. I have plenty of friends and family and of course the Giants who represent this great state even though most of the country likes to poke at it. Whether its towns like Ramsey in the north or Colts Neck and LBI down the shore. Some of the best moments of my life took place in NJ.
I’ve been a lifelong Giants fan, and season ticket holder since 2017, only having missed a handful of games since 2000. Other than my friends and family, the Giants are pretty high on my list. That is why I wanted to start to focus on sharing my love and passion with all of you.
I started podcasting during the early days back in 2012 with a friend of mine, Steve. We still record the SND Podcast (I know very original - who knew back in 2012 podcasting would explode to the levels it did). This past year, I met Nikki at our past place of work, her and I have talked countless hours and days on having the same goals of bringing the very best possible Giants content with an entertaining and engaging style. Our goal is to have our readers and people who follow Thunder and Lightning be able to learn something new while we are being loose and having the time of their lives.
I can’t thank Nikki enough for her help and recommendation for this opportunity.
As for the Giants, this offseason has been nothing short of dramatic and filled with intrigue. I can’t wait to share my thoughts and views of the team with JSN readers. Thunder and Lightning will be sure to bring it to you straight up - no fluff.
