Rutgers Diving Team's Giulia Vittorioso Shines

Rutgers women's diving team continued their season this past weekend in Montreal, Canada at the CAMO Diving Invitational. Junior Giulia Vittorioso lead the way as she took silver twice.

On Saturday, Vittorioso scored a 255.10 giving her second place on platform. She finished behind Montreal native Eloise Belanger, who also is a 10 time CSCAA All- American and 2018 PAC-Twelve Diver of the Year. Along with Vittorioso in the top five was her teammate Amelia Scott, who placed fifth. The freshman Scott scored a 225.15 and in prelims landed herself in Rutgers history as she had a score of 233.50, which is the ninth best score on platform in the school's history.

Sunday saw Vittorioso land a second place spot on the podium again in the 3M. With a score of 271.45, she landed her second silver of the weekend, rounding out a strong performance.

The Scarlet Knights next head down to Miami, Florida for the CSCAA Open Water Nationals on December 17. Annual winter training in California will follow Nationals before their final home meet on January 20th against Villanova at Rutgers Aquatics Center at Sonny Werblin.
