Admin Coordinator

Overview:

Jersey Sporting News has an opening for a Admin Coordinator to join our growing sports media start-up. You must have a passion for management and sports media. You will be managing our company brand in a cohesive way to achieve our overall goals. This position will also manage the growth of our brand, including but not limited to the website and staff. This position will be an assistant to the Managing Director.

Qualifications

    • The ability to lead and manage a large group of people
    • Exceptional writing and presenting skills, with the ability to manage storytelling across multiple media including blogs, video, infographics, etc
    • High organization skills while utilizing various software programs
    • High energy, "can do" personality and ability to thrive in a ever-changing environment
    • An innovative, growth mindset, with unwavering commitment to creating world-class storytelling
    • Experience using social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
    • Experience with sports media including but not limited to blogging, journalism, reporting, interviews, creative content, note taking and hosting meetings
    • Deep knowledge and appreciation for sports and lifestyle
    • A focus on execution and precise project management
    • Creative, strategic and collaborative approach to problem solving

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for maintaining multiple coverage forms and schedules on a month-to-month basis.
  • You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our overall goals
  • Assisting the Managing Director with day-to-day operation of company and be the lead in their absence
  • Assist with onboarding on new staff
  • Design strategies to achieve targets in all departments
  • Manage, create and publish original, high quality content
  • Be a soundboard for all staff members, including department heads
  • Schedule and lead various staff meetings
  • Working with internal teams to gather materials/ information for social media postings
  • Developing marketing, social media, and content plans
  • Managing responses on social media pages as well as email inquiries
  • Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Facilitate client-company communication (respond to queries, organize chats and Q&A sessions)
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies, social media best practices, and potential story leads
