For the third and final time this season Gotham FC will face OL Reign in a match with all Olympians returning for both teams.
In the two prior meetings this season between Gotham FC and OL Reign, it has been the team from Jersey that has walked away with the win. In the first meeting at Red Bull Arena, it was Gotham FC who would leave Red Bull Arena with a 1-0 victory off an Ifeoma Onumonu goal. The second match in Tacoma would be an offensive showing for the visitors as Gotham FC would blowout the Reign 3-0 with goals from Ifeoma Onumonu, Margaret Purce, and Domi Richardson.
“This is our third game of the season against OL Reign although they have had a change in leadership since our previous meetings. Our last match we were able to take advantage in transition and finished clinically. The key to the game will be shutting down their midfield," said Head Coach Freya Coombe.
Gotham FC will look to earn the series sweep when they kick off at 10pm ET on Saturday, August 21 on Paramount+.
