Key Takeaways From Giants Mini Camp

New York Giants Mandatory Mini Camp kicked off on Tuesday, June 13 at the Quest Diagnostic Training Center and head coach Brian Daboll kicked off his press conference by letting the media know that he knows everyone wants to ask questions about Saquon Barkley but those conversations will “stay private” and his stance on the situation “remains the same”.

After that, several questions were asked about Barkley in where Daboll was visibly frustrated with the questions. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, both the NY Giants and Saquon Barkley’s representatives are back in communication with each other. Jersey Sporting News will continue to provide updates on the Barkley contract as we receive them.

Daboll said that during this minicamp he was looking to build on communication, keep increasing on installation and see improvement on fundamentals. Daboll also said this is a great time of year to move some guys around and that offensive line coach Bobby Johnson has shuffled the line around a bit to help give guys some foundation.

Daboll made it clear that right now, everything is a work in progress which is to be expected at this stage but “come “July 25 or somewhere around there, we’re going to get going here and there’s not a lot of time for mistakes”
