Devils' Jack Hughes named NHL All-Star

New Jersey Devils forward and superstar Jack Hughes has been named to the NHL All-Star team for the third time in his career.

Hughes has continued to make history for the Devils franchise throughout his young career despite having a difficult time early on in the National Hockey League. Last season, he broke the franchise record for points recorded, finishing with 43 goals and 56 assists for 99 points. Devils legend Patrik Elias held the previous record with 96 points in a season.

This season, he has 45 points in 32 games, finding the back of the net 15 times and assisting on 30 goals. Hughes has undoubtedly been one of the major factors that has begun to turn this franchise back into a winning team.

Assuming Hughes stays healthy for the remainder of the season, many assume Hughes will break 100 points for the first time, and indeed not the last time, in his career.

Hughes has become one of the faces of the NHL as he has broken out in every way possible the past season. He will join his brother Quinn from the Vancouver Canucks during the All-Star weekend.
He will head to Toronto on Feb. 1-3 as the rest of the NHL has a break for a few days during the star-studded festivities North of the Border.
