NJ Devils 2023-2024 Season Schedule Preview

As the 2023-2024 season schedule drops, let’s take a look at some of the most highly anticipated games.

The Devils start their preseason with two games on Sept. 25, meaning there will be a split squad. Half the team will be visiting the Montreal Canadiens, while the other half will host the Philadelphia Flyers.

The team will begin their regular season with a three-game home stand on Thursday, Oct. 12 against the Detroit Red Wings, followed by the Arizona Coyotes on Oct. 13, and then playing the Florida Panthers, the Stanley Cup runner-ups, on Oct. 16.

The Devils will have their first road game against the NYI on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The first meeting of the Hudson River Rivalry will take place at Prudential Center on Nov. 18. They will not see the Rangers again until Feb. 22, where they play them again at home. The Devils will take a trip over the river on March 11 and April 3.

The Devils will look to get playoff revenge on the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena on Jan. 25 and Feb. 10. The Canes will take a trip to Prudential Center on March 9.

There is no doubt the Metlife Stadium Series is the highlight of the season. The Devils will be playing the Flyers on Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history the Devils will have an outdoor game, and the first time an outdoor game is in New Jersey.

They will take their California road trip on Feb. 27- March 3. On Dec. 5-10, they will be visiting the Western Canadian teams, while on March 24 - 29 they will visit the NYI, then Toronto, and Buffalo. On Nov. 2-7, they will be at Minnesota, St. Louis, Chicago, and Colorado. They have one more road trip against the NYR, Dallas, Chicago and Vegas on March 11-17

All home games will begin at 7 p.m. ET besides: On Feb. 24 against Montreal and March 9 against Carolina will be starting at 12:30 p.m., Feb. 25 against Tampa will be starting at 1 p.m., Nov. 24 against Columbus will be starting at 3 p.m., Oct. 29 against Minnesota will be starting at 5 p.m., Oct. 25 against Washington and Dec. 13 against Boston will begin at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 17 against Philadelphia will begin at 8 p.m.

MSG Networks will broadcast most of the games, with exceptions for special games like the Stadium Series on Feb. 17 where it will be broadcasted nationally, but will always have pre and post game coverage.

The television schedule of national broadcasts will be out in the near future.

The Devils will altogether have 26 games against division rivals, 24 games against Atlantic Division teams. The Devils will play each team from the Western Conference once at home and once at their opponents arena.

The regular season will end at the Prudential Center when the Devils take on the NYI at 7 p.m.
