NJ/NY Gotham FC announced the signing of Taylor Smith off waivers. She was most recently with the North Carolina Courage before there was a mutual agreement for her departure from the club. So far, she has had four appearances this season.

Smith has been in the NWSL for seven years and has made appearances for Western New York Flash/North Carolina Courage and OL Reign. She won the NWSL Championship with the Flash in 2016 as a rookie. From 2017-18, Smith earned call-ups to the USWNT and tallied 10 caps.
