The Kingsway Regional High School Field Hockey team captured the South Jersey Group IV title with an 8-0 stomping of Rancocas Valley Tuesday afternoon.
Mary Wordelmann led the way with three scores, while Sabrina McGroarty punched in two. Sophie Brown, Karlie Mertz and Isabella Sanchez knocked in one each as the top ranked Dragons rolled past Rancocas Valley in the final round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group IV playoffs.
“These kids battled hard every single day this season. Through injuries, we had to face adversity a lot and they really made us proud today representing our school and our community. We’re excited for Saturday and we have to take care of business,” Kingsway head coach Dana Ott said.
Kingsway (19-2) will look to take care of business as they take on Ridge (17-6) in the NJSIAA Group 4 state championship at Bordentown High School at 10:00AM on Saturday.
