This past week, the New Jersey Devils announced they had re-signed two minor league forwards.
Max Willman was an unrestricted free agent going into this offseason. Willman was signed to a one-year, two-way contract.
Willman played in Utica for part of the season and joined the big team for 18 games. In those games, he recorded three goals and one assist.
The Devils also re-signed Nathan Légaré. Like Willman, Légaré would be an unrestricted free agent going into this offseason. He was also signed to a one-year, two-way contract.
The Devils acquired Légaré in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens in March. He reported to the Utica Comets and finished the season there. With Utica, he appeared in 15 regular season games. He ended with eight goals and four assists for 12 points in 54 games for the entire season.
