Devils land 10th overall pick in 2024 NHL Draft

After Tuesday's NHL Draft Lottery, the New Jersey Devils will receive the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. They concluded the season as the 23rd-best team in the league, with a record of 38-39-5.

The question ahead of the draft is whether the Devils will decide to trade the pick for a high-value package or draft a player. With holes in the Devils' lineup, trading the pick is not a bad idea.

The San Jose Sharks, who finished with the worst record in the NHL and had the highest odds to pick number one (25.5%), secured the first overall draft pick for the first time in franchise history.

The Devils and the rest of the NHL will head to Las Vegas for the 2024 NHL Draft, which will be held on June 28 and 29. The first round will be held on the evening of June 28, and rounds two through seven will continue on June 29.
