Rutgers softball head coach Kristen Butler announced Allison Amadio will be joining the incoming class for the 2024-2025 year. Amadio becomes the ninth member of the incoming Scarlet Knights class.

Amadio, a catcher/utility from Galloway, attended Cedar Creek High School and played club softball with Carolina Elite National. During her high school career Amadio was named defensive player of the year, team captain, and she broke the Cedar Creek High School record for most putouts on a single season with 236. She was also on a team that went to the sectional semifinals in 2023, were divisions champions in 2021 and 2022, conference runners-up in 2022, South Jersey Group 2 champions in 2021 and conference champions in 2021.

Amadio spoke highly of Rutgers saying "The support from Rutgers that joins the academic department and athletes is unparalleled to anything I've seen."

She continued with praise for her new head coach, "I love the atmosphere that Coach Butler and her staff create for the softball program."
