Strong West Essex Baseball Ranked 2nd Overall in SEC Standings

West Essex's baseball team is on a hot run this season with just four losses. Even though the season isn't over, they have proved themselves to be a top team this year. Junior Chris Murano has 600 pitches this season, 93 more than last year. He is the top pitcher for the Knights and has displayed his growth throughout the season. Another top player is Devin Fogg, a Senior with the second-highest number of runs. Devin and Max Garcia are currently the team's top two highest players for stats.

Before we continue with the team's stats leading up to the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament, three players need to be recognized for their efforts throughout this season. The three players are Max Garcia, Jack Epstein, and Joe Panzarino. They were selected to represent Essex County on June 26th at Community Park in North Brunswick. The game is a Quad County Underclass All-Star game. The Knights's last game was Monday, May 20th, in which they won 11-1 to make them 21-4 overall. The Knights are home for the first round of the NJSIAA State Tournament on Thursday against Garfield at 1 pm.
