Riveters' season starts this weekend

The puck drops at 2pm on Saturday, November 6 for the Metropolitan Riveters' first game of the season. Opening weekend will be a double header against the Connecticut Whale at Mennan Sports Arena in Morristown, New Jersey. All the training camps and exhibition games have concluded and now it's time to start the quest for the second Isobel cup.

Returning players Madison Packer (C), Brooke Avery (A), and Emily Janiga (A) have been named as the team's leadership for the 2021-2022 season. They'll be joined once again by Leila Kilduff, Sonjia Shelley, Theresa Knutson, Kendall Cornine, Tatiana Shatalova, Kelly Babstock, and Haley Frade.

The Rivs also picked up some new faces. Additionally, Romana Košecká from Slovakia joined following the first international draft, held in July.
